CULTURAL BEHAVIOUR
First Transnational Meeting
14th - 17th November 2016, Kaunas, Lithuania
Headteachers and project coordinators accompanied by their colleagues engaged in the project work all representing partner schools within the project attended the first transnational meeting organised at Kaunas J. Urbsys Catholic Basic School. After a warm welcome and beautiful performances of some folk Lithuanian songs, dances and games partners gave presentations on their countries and schools. Later they debated on the project activities, its monitoring and evaluation, dissemination activities, as well as updated the dates of the visits, emphasized the financing questions while implementing project activities. They shared the responsibilies on making a website, a brochure and an e-magazine. All arrangements were put together into a project RULEBOOK, which was signed by all partner schools‘ headteachers present at the meeting.
The meeting was also an opportunity to experience Lithuanian culture and enjoy the landmarks of the capital city. The visit to Perkūnas house was an educational tour during which all participants learned how to make candles and dance medieval European dances. The very essence of the meeting was the guided tour in the in Energy and Technology Museum. Not only did the teachers hear the history of electricity or power plants‘ development in Lithuania, but they also watched and tried the ways some laws of physics (sound, wave, etc) work. They could use the evidence they had experienced while working on the inventions in our project.
